Per Åhlund is a Swedish experimental musician and sound artist whose work explores the thresholds between music and sound. With voice, electronics and gadgets it builds sonic rituals and hypnotic soundscapes.

Active since the late 1990s developing a practice in analogue and digital electronics, voice and site-responsive performances. Within ritual frameworks, inviting attentive, immersive listening and challenges conventional distinctions between music and random sound. Themes of altered states, hypnosis, other worlds and dream states.

Known for projects such as Diskrepant, Beckahesten, Dith State, Den Arkaiska Rösten, Anonyma Alkemister, Skare, The Wooden Body, articulating different approaches to sound and music.

Performed across Europe and North America at festivals, concert halls, clubs, churched and galleries, including Fylkingen (Stockholm), Atalante (Gothenburg), Wave-Gotik-Treffen (Leipzig), Norbergfestival, Midgårdsblot, The Vigeland Museum (Oslo), and Berkeley Arts Festival amongst the others.
